WestBay Maintenance
Maintain relative humidity levels between 30% and 50% and room temperature between 60 and 80 degrees. A major change in moisture content may lead to serious cupping or gapping problems.
Vacuum using the wand attachment, use a dust mop or wipe with a damp cloth.
When necessary, use a well-squeezed damp mop with a soap-free daily cleaner (½ cup vinegar to 1 gallon warm water) or with manufacturers approved cleaner.
For stubborn or tough stains/scuffs, use mineral spirits, denatured alcohol, or acetone (nail polish remover).
For chewing gum or wax, allow to harden, then carefully scrape off with a blunt scraper.
Do not use soap-based detergents or mop & shine products as they may leave a dull film on your floor.
Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool or scouring powder - these items can scratch your floor.
Do not wax or polish any laminate flooring.
Use floor protectors on chairs, tables and appliances.
